This is an issue around the world, and the SCJ Professional Proline WAVE one-litre washroom soap dispenser is a further opportunity to reuse plastic waste that otherwise was bound for the ocean or landfills.

SC Johnson has a long history in the professional market, in which it started operating in the 1930s. In 2015, the company began its return to the professional market with the acquisition of Deb Group and has now brought the company into an expanded SC Johnson Professional organisation to serve as a total solutions provider for industrial, institutional and healthcare users.
With deep category and technical expertise, the SC Johnson Professional product range provides solutions ranging from skin care, floor care and surface care, through to air care, storage and pest control.
The dispenser is made from 70% Recovered Coastal Plastic, which is post-consumer recycled waste plastic collected on land within 31 miles of an ocean so that it does not reach oceans or landfills, sourced from a global partnership between SC Johnson and Plastic Bank. Each SCJ Professional Proline WAVE dispenser is the equivalent of 16 x 500ml waste plastic bottles (excluding caps and labels) that have been prevented from reaching the oceans or landfills in vulnerable coastal areas where there is little formal waste collection infrastructure.
The SC Johnson global partnership with Plastic Bank empowers collection communities in vulnerable coastal areas in Indonesia, Philippines and Brazil to stop plastic waste before it enters the oceans or landfills, whilst improving the lives of those who collect it by providing them with a new source of income.
