• British and European Standards

Changing Places The BTA is extremely proud to be working with the Changing Places Consortium. All the organisations involved have set their goals to increase the overall provision of specialised toilet units throughout the United Kingdom for users with profound learning difficulties and handicaps. We are in the final stages of producing an interactive mapping system to help all these users find a CP toilet or plan their journey.
Best Practice Guide & Training Services We are currently introducing training modules and publications to help providers improve the standards, levels of provision and cleaning methodology within their facilities.
Market/Consumer Research Members views and opinions form an important part of the many market research and consumer projects which we undertake on behalf of various organisations.
Award Schemes We are actively involved in running and supporting awards for “away from home” toilets by all types of suppliers, this includes our own BTA Innovation Awards as well as support for the Loo of the Year and Attendant of the Year Awards.
A Voice For The Industry The Association, as a whole, has a wealth of knowledge on toilet related issues and practices and every day it handles a constant stream of enquiries and questions from everyone who has a real desire to improve the current provision, as well as reduce the number of toilet closures. We support consumers and suppliers alike on the
future development and installation of more hygienically clean, publicly accessible toilets across the country. We’re always keen to broaden our knowledge base and engage with a range of new members. We welcome every opportunity to draw media activity and publicity material to expound the company’s campaign message to wider audiences. We help to promote the Loo of the Year Awards, Truckers Toilets Newsletter, and the UK Public Toilet Campaign, and the BTA will use every opportunity offered to try and stop the decline in clean, hygienic and publicly available and accessible toilet facilities. Full information on the membership benefits and details of how to join us is contained on our BTA website.
