CASE STUDY: Keeping hospital floors
cleaner, longer Jesse Murphy, Manager of Environmental Safety at Oasis Hospital, had noticed their floor finishes struggled to hold up in high traffic areas, forcing staff to strip and recoat the floors more often than they would like. This time-consuming task prevented maintenance staff from completing other projects and made it more difficult to complete necessary, daily maintenance procedures that helped prevent the spread of HAIs (Healthcare-Associated Infections).
As a 76-bed surgical hospital, Oasis’ primary concern is the health and safety of patients, visitors, and staff members. A big part of health and safety is facility cleanliness and appearance.
When Murphy was contacted about the Buckeye Hard Floor Care Program, he was interested in whether Buckeye could provide a longer-lasting floor finish that could free up staff time.
