"Changing cleaning processes to improve

sustainability does not need to be difficult".

Another range recently updated to meet similar requirements is Diversey’s Room Care Pur-Eco range for hotels. This includes a complete set of products with EU Ecolabel certification covering all daily cleaning tasks. The range comprises Pur-Eco formulations for daily cleaning that are at least as effective in terms of performance and fragrance as the standard Room Care range used by the majority of large UK and global hotel groups.

Sustainability gains can also be made without using chemicals. Floorcare operations, for example, can be more sustainable when adopting Diversey’s revolutionary diamond-impregnated Twister pads. Used with one of Diversey’s advanced TASKI swingo scrubber dryers or rotary-disc machines, these innovative pads deliver excellent results with water alone while reducing costs and maintaining hard floors in optimum condition.

Twister is an innovative set of 13 floorcare pads impregnated with billions of microscopic diamonds. Pads for different applications are manufactured by changing the size and combination of the microscopic diamonds. This ensures the pads are less abrasive than the corresponding conventional alternative which helps to protect the floor while giving a smoother and improved appearance. Moreover, the resulting micro-polished finish of the floor is more resistant to soiling.

The pads can be used with water alone, last three times longer than traditional products, and significantly reduce the need for periodic maintenance, all of which improves sustainability and reduces the overall cost. Used this way these pads reduce chemical usage by 100%, floor pad costs by 66%, and weight of consumables by 98% (which also saves transport and handling) compared with traditional products. Working without chemicals also simplifies

cleaning processes, creates a healthier environment for cleaners and bystanders, and reduces routine machine maintenance burdens.

Microfibre represents an efficient and ergonomic alternative to mop-and-bucket cleaning: it can reduce water consumption up to 95%, improve results and boost productivity. Cloths and pads made from microfibre enable new ways of cleaning with better results, improved hygiene and reduced reliance on chemicals to promote simpler and sustainable processes. These benefits mean that microfibre is widely used for cleaning all hard surfaces, not just floors, with water alone.

Diversey offers a wide range of microfibre cloths, mops, tools and accessories in various shapes, sizes and colour for cleaning teams to specify the ideal combination for their specific application.

New technologies and innovations are leading to completely new ways of cleaning to complement, augment or replace existing processes. Diversey’s Moonbeam3, for example, delivers powerful UV-C light to provide fast broad − area disinfection of high-touch surfaces in as little as three minutes. This is much faster than fogging and almost twice as effective as traditional cleaning and disinfection alone in destroying the pathogens that cause healthcare associated infections (HAIs).

Moonbeam3 offers facilities a completely hands, chemical and fume-free way to complement existing processes with safer high-performance disinfection. The device is ideal for adjunct cleaning of surfaces accidentally missed during regular disinfection processes and for frequently touched, hard-to-clean surfaces and intricate equipment.

Changing cleaning processes to improve sustainability does not need to be difficult. Diversey has a unique ability to support cleaning teams with a complete set of products, tools, machines and services for every aspect of their cleaning operation. This means it can work with customers to devise, configure and implement a fully-integrated solution that is fine-tuned to business and operational requirements, delivering enhanced performance, value and sustainability.
