Cresswell Office Services is celebrating reaching an outstanding milestone as it has reached 25 years in the cleaning industry in 2020.
2020 has been a tough one for the cleaning industry, as even after lockdown from the COVID-19 pandemic, a large number of buildings remain closed to staff, but well- established contract cleaning and building maintenance company Cresswell has continued to carry out deep cleans throughout, and now celebrates this significant achievement.
Founded and set up in 1995, Cresswell notably remains independently owned. It is located centrally in Surrey Quays, London, and has both Industrial and Commercial divisions, with clients coming from a variety of businesses and backgrounds. Regularly having been a finalist in the prestigious Kimberly-Clark Golden Service Awards, the company is also both ISO9001 & ISO14001 accredited.
David McLeod, Founder and Managing Director, originally set up the company from a small office in Blackheath having spent his whole working life in the service industry. He has a wealth of experience in the cleaning industry with over forty years of management and operations experience dealing with clients and suppliers.

New appointment at Kärcher
Professional Kärcher Professional UK has strengthened its team with the appointment of James Gordon as Marketing Director UK & Ireland.
The move will help the leading global cleaning brand to drive the Professional arm of the business across the UK territory to generate growth and awareness.
Key responsibilities in Gordon’s new role will be to lead the marketing team across both retail and professional, setting the agenda for the brand in the UK and Ireland. The position is an internal move for Gordon, who previously spent three years leading Kärcher’s US Consumer Retail Division where he managed engineering, operations, and sales and marketing teams based in the USA and Mexico.
Gordon attributes his success at Kärcher so far to his achievements in the US, where he restructured the Consumer Retail business, maintaining revenue and tripling the gross margin, repositioning Kärcher as a true premium
player in the market. He is keen to embrace his new position as part of Kärcher Professional UK.
Gordon commented: “Kärcher is a trusted household name and usually associated with the well-known yellow Consumer Retail products. My personal goal is to create equal brand association for the anthracite Professional products. I hope to make a real difference to the UK Professional business, increasing our brand awareness, driving market share gains and extending our distribution network.
“There is a huge opportunity for Kärcher Professional, with new and exciting products in the pipeline and an array of industries that can benefit from the Kärcher Professional products and expertise.”
Gordon brings extensive big brand marketing and commercial experience to the role, having previously worked for Colgate Palmolive, Unilever, Dyson, and Boots Healthcare, as well as diverse knowledge of international markets through time spent working in Australia, South East Asia and the US.
