martin@opusbm.co.uk) Manchester Cleaning Show moved to
September 2021 The organisers of The Manchester Cleaning Show 2020 have announced that the show has been postponed until September 2021.
A unanimous decision was made by the BCCE Board, following the latest government rules regarding social gatherings, and the ongoing local lockdowns in the Greater Manchester Area forced them to re-evaluate plans for the event.
The organisers hope that the move to September 2021 will see everyone able to operate freely without social distancing restrictions, and ensures that the show does not interfere or clash with other planned industry events.
The UK cleaning industry needs an opportunity to come together now, so the organisers will be staging a virtual version of the Manchester Cleaning Show on the dates that the show was meant to be taking place, 14-15 October 2020.
The opportunities that this virtual event presents are exciting and the organisers say they have an innovative platform to show off. There are no apps to download, you can view everything on a device of your choice, and it will deliver exciting content and business solutions for visitors and a vital commercial opportunity for exhibitors. It’s important that the industry comes together.
Exhibitors are being contacted individually regarding the opportunities available to them, and professionals already registered to attend the Manchester Cleaning Show will soon receive an invitation and access details to enjoy the virtual version.
The industry has demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and innovation throughout this pandemic and the organisers would like to thank all exhibitors, visitors and speakers for continued support and patience.
Speaking about the postponement of October’s Manchester Cleaning Show, Lorcan Mekitarian, Chairman of the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association, said: “We are sorry there will not be an opportunity for the sector to come together in one place this year, but completely understand the British Cleaning Council’s decision. The virtual event, replacing the Manchester Cleaning Show 2020, is the next best thing and we are looking forward to being an active participant.
“The sector has proved its worth many times over in this pandemic. While we can’t get together this year, we are pleased to have a date in the diary for 2021 and anticipate it will be a true celebration of the remarkable achievements of our industry and everyone who works within it.”

Innovise acquires TemplaCMS
Templa, the software company behind TemplaCMS, has been acquired by Innovise, the UK subsidiary of TEAM Software.
TEAM is a global technology leader specialising in software for security guarding, cleaning and facilities management businesses, with customers on five continents and approximately one million users under management.
The acquisition brings together the two UK market leaders in the cleaning sector: Innovise, with its trusted workforce management software and Templa, with its fully integrated financial contract management software. The combination creates a significant offering for cleaning and facilities management businesses, primarily in the UK and Australia.
The combined group supports many of the leading cleaning and security companies in the UK, Ireland, North America and Australia.
Mike Taylor, Innovise President and TEAM Software Chief Strategy Officer, said: “Our mission is to extend our offering in the rest of the world to mirror the deep
financial management capabilities provided by WinTeam to our North American customers. Adding TemplaCMS to the Innovise portfolio provides an immediate solution for our customers in the UK and Australia, and we will work together to broaden this globally while evolving modernising the TemplaCMS technology.”
The new partnership will mean that clients of both Templa and Innovise benefit from enhanced technology expertise, improved product scope and global scale. As part of the partnership, Rick Stoor, Templa’s Managing Director, has joined the Innovise senior leadership team.
Stoor commented: “After several decades of successful growth as an independent business, we are excited to be joining forces with Innovise and TEAM software. This is essentially a merger of committed, ambitious technology companies who want to serve the cleaning industry more effectively. We are excited to work alongside our new colleagues at Innovise and TEAM to set the standard for world-class solutions in our target markets globally.”
