QA is a dynamic, innovative training organisation that ‘powers tomorrow by shaping the next generation of technologists, leaders and innovators’.
Providing facilities, developing courses and designing training programmes, the organisation has a portfolio of over 1500 courses, certifications and seminars, and, together with other accreditations, is the largest provider of Microsoft Training in Europe.
With a turnover of £300m, the company has 20 training locations, consisting of 380 rooms across all the major cities in the UK. The training facilities operate at 95% occupancy, which means that it is responsible for 3500 people on any one day.
Guy Euman, Head of Learning Venues for QA, said: “QA’s ethos is very much about powering potential. We are not just a training organisation, we are furthering careers, at all ages and abilities, from our Apprenticeship programme to facilitating effective training programmes for our Corporate clientele.
Creating opportunity
QA recruits and trains apprentices, supported by a skills coach, manager and training team, to stay on track through their courses and final assessments, known as an ‘end-point assessment’ (EPA). From there, QA learners go on to do amazing things in the tech and business space, and there are some impressive alumni from the QA apprenticeship programme.

QA also designs, creates and works in partnership with major players to run a blend of classroom, online and virtual training courses for its blue-chip customer base. Course subjects are varied, drawn from a portfolio of topics and partners, to enable learners to progress to a huge range of certifications from a wide range of global vendors.
Customers can purchase a learning license for training, giving them priority access to courses, with value added benefits, which can be used through the year. Courses may be run for individual clients, or a public course may consist of 20 learners from 20 different customers.
Gaining professional certification is a great way to make a delegate stand out from the crowd, and certification is a formal recognition of skills that can help learners climb the career ladder or gain promotion. For some, this can be a complicated process, especially where previous learning may not have been fully completed, so QA will plot out the steps that learners need to take to achieve certification.
Cutting out the waste
Guy continued: “Of course, what this all means is that, on a daily basis, we are responsible for those 3500 people and the environmental footprint they bring. Whilst QA does not manufacture anything, so our impacts are lower than others, we still take this responsibility very seriously and constantly challenge ourselves to reduce our footprint in any way we can.”
Initially, QA set about achieving ISO14001 certification and was successful in 2017. It has continued to seek ways to
