IT’S CLEAN UP NORTH

On 11-12 April, Event City will play host to an

even bigger and better showcase of the cleaning industry: The Manchester Cleaning Show 2018.

The second Manchester Cleaning Show, the northern edition of The Cleaning Show which now alternates annually with Excel in London, takes place at Event City in Manchester on 11-12 April 2018, and is expected to welcome more visitors than the 2,300 who attended the first Manchester Cleaning Show in 2016.

Not only are visitor numbers expected to increase, but the entire show has been increased in size by 25% in order to meet demand, indicating a far busier show than two years ago.

Stan Atkins, Chair of the British Cleaning Council, commented: “In 2016 we brought The Cleaning Show to the North for the first time and we were genuinely overwhelmed by the enthusiastic support it received from both exhibitors and visitors. We also saw Steph McGovern from BBC Breakfast’s business team broadcast live from the show on the first morning, demonstrating the significance of cleaning to the UK economy.”

A full conference programme has also been revealed, with four different and distinct themes running across each day.

HOW TO GET THERE For some, the journey up to Manchester may be an unfamiliar one, but Event City, situated right next to the Trafford Centre and the M60, is fairly straightforward to find. Here we’ve outlined how best to find the place, whatever your mode of transport.

Motorway Situated just two minutes from the M60, Event City is close to the M6, M62 and M56. If travelling from the M6, take Junction 9 for the A5081 and follow signs for Barton Dock Road. If you’re using a sat nav, use the postcode M17 8AS.

Bus Both the X50 and 250 services are available from Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station Stand K every 15 minutes from early until late, seven days a week.

Trafford Bus Station is around a 10 minute walk from Event City. Alternatively, there are frequent buses providing a connection every five minutes (services 18, 247, 250 and X50) from the bus station to Event City.

Air Manchester Airport: By car: Join the M56, then M60 (westbound), exiting at Junctions 9 or 10. By bus: Service 18 runs frequently direct to the Trafford Centre Bus Station.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport: By car: Join the A5300 at the airport, and then take the M62 (eastbound) to the M60. Follow the M60 (westbound), exiting at Junctions 9 or 10.

Train Manchester Piccadilly: Bus services X50 and 250 from Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station go to the Event City bus stop.

Manchester Victoria: Bus service 100 (every 12 minutes) or service 110 (every 20 minutes), reach the Trafford Centre bus station.
