Electrostatic sprayer gets Registered

The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a Division of ISSA, has announced that the MS-700 Electrostatic Sprayer System from ByoPlanet has achieved the GBAC STAR Registered Technology designation.

The GBAC Advisory Council Scientific Board has assessed the system for scientific validity, usability, practicality, safety, and efficacy.

Rick O’Shea, ByoPlanet CEO, said: “Joining this robust list of registered technologies reinforces our commitment to protecting facility guests and employee health. Our mission is to make communities healthier through environmental infection control, and this designation validates our commitment to providing better protection from illness- causing germs.”

ByoPlanet’s MS-700 Electrostatic Sprayer System is durable and convenient, while being effective for electrostatic delivery in hard-to-reach areas using ByoPlanet’s Induction Charging Technology. This technology ensures surfaces are properly disinfected and sanitised, and allows for more surface coverage in less time with a uniquely powerful air compressor.

CHSA reveals pride in supporting the

industry in 2022 The Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA) has revealed its pride in supporting the cleaning industry throughout 2022.

Lorcan Mekitarian, Chair of the CHSA, said: “The cleaning industry is a huge contributor to the UK economy, and we are proud to have supported it in 2022, setting standards and advocating a Roadmap to Sustainability.”

During 2022, the CHSA maintained its commitment to standards. In addition to the rigorous product audits conducted by its Independent Inspector, the Association introduced a programme of auditing the marketing claims made about the products.

Lorcan explained: “We guarantee our members trade ethically, and so we now check all claims are supported with appropriate evidence, available on request.”

The CHSA also acted to protect the integrity of its Accreditation Schemes. The Association recently issued a ‘cease and desist’ order to a manufacturer falsely claiming CHSA Accredited status.

Lorcan continued: “We will always act to protect the Schemes’ integrity so buyers and users of cleaning and hygiene products can trust the mark. Our standards, your guarantee.”

In 2022 the CHSA evolved its Roadmap to Sustainability. Ethical and environmental sustainability is one of the biggest challenges facing the industry. The Roadmap offers

a framework which businesses in the sector can use to develop their own sustainability strategies.

The CHSA has been proud to back a range of initiatives, led by others in the industry. These have included the British Cleaning Council’s All Party Parliamentary Group, and the Kimberly-Clark Golden Service Awards.

The CHSA also continued to give something back in 2022. Three young people went to university in September with the support of a Bursary from the CHSA. The Bursary, worth £4,500 over three years, is open to the children of CHSA members’ employees.

In addition, the CHSA raised £5,000 for Grief Encounter at its Gala Ball, adding to the £20,000 the Association raised for the charity in previous years. The funds have been used by Grief Encounter to support bereaved children and young people.

GBAC Executive Director, Patricia Olinger, explained: “We’re excited to add another amazing solution to our growing list of GBAC STAR Registered Technologies. Cleaning and disinfecting are still top of mind for the public. Utilising technologies like ByoPlanet’s MS-700 will bring facilities closer to GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation, generating trust among employees and facility guests.”
