New Chairman Emeritus for Diversey UK/Ireland

Ringo Francis, the founder and former CEO of Zenith Hygiene Group, has been appointed Chairman Emeritus of the United Kingdom and Ireland Diversey and Zenith business.

Ringo will be relinquishing his executive responsibility, although he will continue to be present providing support on the direction and strategy as Chairman Emeritus of the

United Kingdom and Ireland group.

Founding Francis Chemicals in 1986 and Zenith Hygiene Group in 1996, Francis has had an instrumental role in the UK cleaning and hygiene industry. In April 2018, Francis sold Zenith Hygiene Group to Bain Capital Private Equity and assumed responsibility of merging the company with Diversey in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

announced The winners of the Overall Loo of the Year Awards trophies for 2019 were announced at a prestigious event on Friday 6 December 2019, at the St Johns Hotel, Solihull.

Overall Trophy winners are selected from the current year’s National Award Winners, who were awarded various grades during a separate morning ceremony.

The Overall UK Loo of the Year Awards Trophy is awarded to the provider of one or more entries who, in the opinion of the judges, deserves to receive the accolade of the top Loo of the Year Award. The winner is presented with the Prestigious Golden Loo Seat Trophy.

There have been Overall Trophy Winners from nine of the 15 market sectors covered by the 61 Entry Categories:

Gaetano Redaelli will assume responsibility for the Diversey and Zenith United Kingdom and Ireland business on an interim basis until a successor has been appointed, and will be supported by Johan ten Berg, who has been working closely with Ringo Francis throughout the integration of Zenith Hygiene and Diversey UK businesses, and will lead the day-to day operations.

Speaking of the UK Loo of the Year Award Trophy winners, Awards Managing Director Mike Bone commented: “intu has entered Loo of the Year Awards for several years and won many awards. Their high standards of washroom provision, cleaning and maintenance have been recognised.”

intu were also awarded the 2019 UK Overall Washroom Cleaner of the Year Awards Trophy and Catherine Kerr, a cleaner at intu Victoria in Nottingham, was awarded the UK Individual Cleaner Trophy.

The Loo of the Year 2020 Awards are now open for nominations. Next year’s Awards event takes place Friday 4 December 2020.
