2019 Loo of the Year Awards open

Entries are now being received for the 2019 Loo of the Year Awards – the annual competition to find the best places ‘to go’ in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, and there’s a new goal to aim for.

For 2019, a new Diamond Award will be joining the existing Silver, Gold and Platinum award grades as the highest and most prestigious available to washroom providers, cleaners and maintainers.

This award will supplement the Platinum award and focus on the highest standards of cleaning, special facilities for babies, children and those who need Changing Places or Space to Change toilet facilities – the provision of clean and well-maintained washroom facilities to meet all user’s needs.

As readers may already be aware, there were National and UK/Republic of Ireland winners from all market sectors in the 2018 Awards, including first time and single-entry entrants from small sites to national companies and large local authorities, receiving independent assessment of their washroom provision and recognition for their high standards.

But who assesses how clean and well maintained the premises that you own or those that you clean are? How

do you benchmark your achievements against your competitors? Does your company and its cleaning staff receive recognition for a job well done? According to the Loo of the Year team, entry into the awards is a way of receiving an independent assessment of ‘away from home’ toilet provision and recognition of the standards achieved based on ‘the washroom standard’ for the UK.

Mike Bone, Managing Director of the Awards, said: “Companies and institutions throughout the UK use their entries in the annual Loo of the Year Awards as a proven, cost effective and independent annual assessment of the standard of their washroom provision management and receive proper recognition through our annual grading scheme. Birmingham-based We Clean in 2015 and leading international FM provider ABM demonstrated in 2017 that a cleaning or FM services company can achieve the ultimate accolade by winning the overall Loo of the Year Awards Trophy.”

The closing date for entries in the 2019 Loo of the Year Awards is Sunday 30 June 2019 – you can enter online via the website below. There are a range of National and Overall awards and trophies for the very best entries, which will be presented at the prestigious Awards Presentation Event, which will be held on Friday 6 December 2019 in Solihull.

Craig commented: “I’m delighted to have joined the ESP team. The foundations are now in place to drive the business forward and I feel extremely privileged to be heading up the sales team at such an important period in ESP’s ongoing development.

“This is a company which I have previously admired from afar, so I am now delighted to be part of the team. With our committed and motivated workforce, I have no doubt that we are on the verge of something special here.

“Following the recent move into our new purpose-built production and distribution complex, we now have the capacity and tools to drive sales forward which makes this such an exciting challenge.”

ESP, who will be celebrating their 30th anniversary next year, are a UK converter of disposable paper products and proud members of the CHSA Soft Tissue Scheme.
