RICHARD CATT JOINS THE UK SUSTAINABLE FLOORING ALLIANCE (UKSFA) BOARD
The UK Sustainable Flooring Alliance (UKSFA) (formally Carpet Recycling UK), has appointed Richard Catt, Chief Executive Officer of the Contract Flooring Association (CFA), to its Board of Directors.
This strategic appointment signals a stronger alignment between two of the most influential trade organisations in the flooring sector, and represents a shared commitment to sustainability, skills development, and circular innovation across the industry.
With 18 years at the helm of the CFA, and more than three decades working in the flooring industry, Richard brings deep expertise in technical standards, training, and contractor support. His background spans manufacturing, sales, and technical roles, and he is widely recognised for his leadership in evolving the CFA into a key driver of positive change and commitment to the highest standards in contract flooring.

As a member-led organisation, the UKSFA champions sustainability across the flooring supply chain. The addition of Richard Catt to the Board further strengthens its technical insight, particularly in relation to flooring installation standards, skills and take-back schemes.

The UKSFA and CFA have already begun collaborating on initiatives including take-back research schemes and the collection of sector data to support extended producer responsibility (EPR). In addition, TreeAzzo can also be customised to any floor resin RAL colour to suit every project. Finishes are available in a brushed, textured or smooth sanded finish.
Customers have the choice of two construction options, with either a fibre cement backing or a ply backing – allowing for total versatility. The product can be drilled and cut like any other wood or cement board-based product. Havwoods supplies the product in any sizes up to 2500mm x 1200mm.
