The Shifting Fields collection from Shaw Contract EMEA offers an ideal flooring solution for contractors. Inspired by the ever-changing natural environment, this collection features three styles of 50 x 50cm carpet tiles: Plains, Landing, and Landing Edge. These styles are designed to seamlessly work together, creating versatile commercial interiors suitable for modern, agile workspaces.
Shifting Fields stands out in sustainability, being carbon neutral and optimised for low embodied carbon. Crafted from Shaw’s innovative EcoSolution Q100 fibre, composed of 100% recycled content, this collection aligns with eco-conscious design principles. It is manufactured at Shaw’s carbon-neutral plant in Sanquhar, Scotland, reflecting Shaw Contract’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.
The collection places a high emphasis on ingredient transparency and material health. It holds Cradle to Cradle certification, underscoring Shaw’s dedication to producing sustainable and health-conscious products. Contractors have the option to choose Shaw’s TaskWorx backing, containing 75% recycled content, or ComfortWorx backing incorporating 90% post-consumer PET bottles, and providing an eco-friendly solution for acoustic performance and underfoot comfort. The collection is also available on the innovative EcoWorx S backing made from a plastomer polyolefin compound, closed loop recyclable, cradle to cradle silver certified and 50% lighter than other carpet tile backings.
Shifting Fields is also Indoor Air Comfort Gold certified, ensuring low emissions for improved indoor air quality. This aligns with Shaw’s commitment to promoting healthier indoor environments, prioritising air quality.
At the end of their useful life, the carpet tiles from the Shifting Fields collection can be reclaimed through Shaw Contract’s `reTURN’ reclamation programme. This initiative offers a sustainable solution by repurposing the tiles and contributing to the circular economy. It embodies Shaw Contract’s commitment to sustainability, making it an excellent choice for contractors who seek a stylish, versatile, and eco- conscious flooring solution for commercial spaces.
