ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Forbo Flooring Systems’ own brand of linoleum, Marmoleum, is considered to be one of the most environmentally considerate floorcoverings available on the market, made using up to 98% natural raw materials. However, Forbo’s Marmoleum Cocoa range takes this one step further, with the inclusion of waste cocoa husks and End of Life (EOL) material in the construction of the range.

In addition to this, in 2023, Forbo’s Marmoleum 2.0mm and 2.5mm sheet ranges were confirmed as being climate positive by an independent EPD, meaning that the CO2 removed from the atmosphere during the growing of its natural ingredients exceeds the CO2 produced in the extraction, transportation, and manufacturing processes. In fact, every square meter of Marmoleum installed equals a saving of 0.45kg of CO2.
As such, Forbo decided to refresh its Cocoa range in celebration of this and even added an extra circular element, becoming the first linoleum manufacturer to actually recycle end-of-life Marmoleum content back into a new floor in a safe and compliant manner.

Both Forbo’s Marmoleum Cocoa collection and the wider Marmoleum range are available in a variety of contemporary yet timeless designs, making it suitable for all modern commercial interiors where aesthetics and sustainability are vital. In fact, within the new Marmoleum Cocoa collection, there are 10 soft yet highly contemporary colourways, of which six are completely new to the range: the refined green-grey Eucalyptus, the coppery Salted Caramel, and the muted blue Indigo Milk, as well as Matcha, Nori and Meringue. These shades combined with the cocoa husks included within the manufacturing process has resulted in a modern flooring solution, which meets the interior design trends and sustainable building requirements of today and the future.
