P-HOLD P-Wave
P-Hold is an innovative antibacterial product that fits over existing door handles, one of the worst hotspots for cross-contamination in buildings.
Using silver ion technology, this cover simply snaps into place and kills 99.9% of bacteria. P-Hold goes on combatting pathogens as they are deposited on its surface. Working continuously 24/7, its surface prevents cross-contamination between users and the spread of infections.
P-Hold is a significant advance for hygiene, especially in washrooms where research suggests as many as one in three users fail to wash their hands. Various harmful microbes colonise handles from where they are transferred to clean hands. If hands are still damp after washing, the likelihood of cross-contamination increases 1,000-fold.
Silver ion surfaces are a scientifically proven sanitiser. P-Hold now brings this technology to door handles.
Independent testing – to the ISO 22196 standard – shows P-Hold is highly effective against a broad spectrum of pathogens, including E-coli, Salmonella and Staph Aureus. P-Hold has also been shown in field trials to be 96.4% cleaner than standard handles.
This cleaning action lasts for six months. The handle covers should be included in your normal cleaning regime, with no special solutions or maintenance required. A visual indicator shows staff when P-Hold needs to be replaced.
The pull-handle cover can be fitted in less than 30 seconds, without tools or training. Extremely robust and sturdy, it fits any cylindrical pull door handle with a diameter of 19, 20 or 22mm (the most common in the UK). P-Hold is available in metallic ice blue or metallic black.
