DETERDEK FILA


FILA Deterdek is a best-selling, safe and fumeless ‘buffered acid’ detergent; it is a trusted solution and one which is solving new issues in today’s tiling sector.


Primarily used for post-installation ‘builder’s cleans’, Deterdek removes cementitious deposits and building site dirt. It is designed for use on porcelain, ceramics and acid-resistant stone and its high performance formulation does not alter appearance. Unlike traditional descalers, Deterdek doesn’t contain hydrochloric acid (also known as muriatic acid), so it will not erode aluminium or steel – or present a hazard to users or the environment.


Deterdek also forms part of FILA’s new recommended care solution for large and extra-large format tiles, where it is used to pre-clean the back of tiles before installation, as well as after fixing. This new recommended pre-clean removes impurities and ensures good adhesion; imperative on large tiles where a continuous bond is required across the whole surface to ensure a successful installation.


Post installation, Deterdek can also be used as a deep cleaner, as well as a residue remover and troubleshooter, where it removes lime deposits, saline efflorescence and rust stains.

Arrow Solutions’ newly launched Dishwasher Range is providing the catering and hospitality sector with a trusted alternative to mainstream products, offering industry-leading performance at competitive prices.


The modern DW brand covers five dishwasher detergents and three rinse aids, including those optimised for hard water, soft water, glass washing, aluminium items and removal of tough tannin stains.


All of the products work ‘first time, every time’ and have been proven to save time on the number of passes it takes to get plates, glasses and cutlery clean in kitchens across the country.


As part of the innovation, the hard water products help to reduce the build-up of limescale in dishwashers, therefore protecting the machine from scale and the possibility of costly downtime and the need to call out engineers.


The DW Range, which was launched in May 2017, now carries an updated brand that is easy to recognise, is colour/number coded and features simple terminology to help with speed and ease of identification.


It is an approach that the cleaning world seems to have embraced, with Arrow already winning new, long-term contracts with a string of hotel groups, restaurant chains and leisure outlets. Customer feedback has been excellent, with the company anticipating further major contracts will be secured over the next 12 months.


DW completes the set of newly branded commercial hygiene products, ranging from kitchen and washroom to housekeeping and flooring.
