Reducing infection
Here, Northwood Hygiene Products lets us know how their Raphael and North Shore ranges can help promote good hygiene.
With COVID restrictions lifting across the UK and the country cautiously enjoying more freedom, the need for optimum hygiene to reduce the spread of infection has never been greater.
Leading manufacturer and supplier, Northwood Hygiene Products Ltd, is driving ahead in the provision of Away- from-Home (AfH) professional paper hygiene and wiping products with its North Shore and Raphael collections.
No-touch North Shore
The North Shore premium proprietary system range of washroom dispensers and consumables offers users a choice of three wipe-clean hand towel dispensers – all with a range of hygiene-promoting features.
Designed for the ultimate luxury experience, the contactless Hybrid Hand Towel system is sensor operated and delivers single sheet presentation, so that people only touch the paper they will use. A high-capacity unit, it can be replenished with ease and speed.
The Mechanical Hands-Free Roll Towel dispenser is another no-touch, single sheet solution, featuring rolls which are kept locked and clean until required. It has a high capacity and is designed to facilitate simple replenishment and allows easy stub roll transfer, to minimise the need for janitorial maintenance.
The compact yet high-capacity Folded Hand Towel dispenser delivers single sheet presentation, minimising over-use. It's easy to use and features anti-blocking technology.
The three hygienic solutions are joined in Northwood’s North Shore portfolio by a range of toilet tissue and soap dispensers and consumables.
Improving hygiene with Raphael
Northwood’s Raphael collection comprises two toilet tissue and four hand towel dispensers, plus a soap dispenser, to deliver improved hygiene standards, whilst saving money, reducing waste and contributing to sustainability.
Designed to optimise hygiene in the highest traffic washrooms, the Raphael hand drying dispensers provide contactless dispensing and the toilet tissue dispenser incorporates a BioKleen technology, to inhibit the growth or spread of bacteria. Made from a single-piece shell, the dispensers are easy to wipe clean and all towels and rolls are fully enclosed for added hygiene.
Using foam soap that requires less water for handwashing than liquid soap, Raphael’s soap dispensers deliver a generous shot to encourage single, efficient use. They are non-drip to help keep spaces clean and every soap cartridge comes with a new nozzle to minimise bacteria harbouring. There’s also a range of antibacterial foam soap lotions and hand sanitisers.
Raphael brings the industry’s first twin high-capacity toilet roll dispenser – the TwinJumbo. Holding 800m of roll to minimise the need for frequent replenishment, the system is cost competitive. An infinity paper system allows users to replenish one roll at a time, eliminating waste and delivering cost savings in high footfall washrooms. The roll towel dispensers hold up to 250 each, providing around 500 dries, with some offering stub-roll transfer to ensure zero waste.
All Raphael hand drying systems dispense one at a time flat sheets, helping to prevent overuse and the folded towel dispenser has a 1000-sheet capacity. The dispensers have been specifically designed not to free roll, to help reduce over usage and minimise mess in the washroom.
Paul Mulready, Marketing Manager of Northwood Hygiene Products Ltd, says: “As we move towards more relaxed restrictions, it’s vital to maintain good hand hygiene and prevent the spread of infection. The Northshore and Raphael collections sit perfectly within the NHS guidance for using soaps, sanitisers and paper towels as the most effective means of hand hygiene. We’re proud to be doing our bit and helping the country to get back to normal as safely as possible.”
