Chicopee, a brand of Berry Global and a leading producer of professional cleaning materials, recently announced the launch of the new and improved J-Cloth Biodegradable and Compostable, a compostable wipe with food contact certification for optimal safety in the food service industry.
Designed for short-term use, J-Cloth Biodegradable and Compostable wipes are ideal for the foodservice sector. The wipes have been externally tested and carry a voluntarily obtained Food Contact Clearance (FCC) certificate, which means that they can be intentionally used in contact with food. The colour coded wipes also support HACCP regulations, preventing the risk of cross contamination.

Made from carefully selected raw materials and with an open, wavy texture, the J-Cloth Biodegradable and Compostable wipes effectively collect dirt, while remaining easy to rinse and staying fresh for longer.
Aſter use, it can be simply rinsed then disposed of in the food waste bin, ready for collection and composting. This reduces landfill costs, with the wipe breaking down naturally into compost.
While standard disposable wipes cannot be recycled or composted, J-Cloth Biodegradable and Compostable wipes are made from viscose from PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified sources and are both compostable and biodegradable.
