Tomorrow’s Cleaning Yearbook. Usually, when I write my Editor’s Voice, I find the words come to me quite easily, when working on a month- to-month basis. But, when faced with the thought of writing an overview of the next 12 months, I wanted to take a moment to think of something profound!

Since last year’s Yearbook, the industry is taking more steps towards a positive future and away from the cur- rent economic doom and gloom. While the industry is never going to be the most glamorous, this doesn’t take away from its importance. In the past year, cleaning has featured in the Royal Wedding, it’s been at the forefront of hospital hygiene and its even taken sustainability to its heart.

Another turning point will be the return of ISSA/Interclean, in May 2012. After attending this show for the first time two years ago, I returned home filled with excitement, a greater understanding and lots of innovation to write about. I expect the same for everyone this year.

Let’s hope that we can continue growing steadily as the months pass and 2012 turns into 2013. Perhaps this Yearbook, like the past two, will be a reminder of just how far the industry has come.

It isn’t always easy to find a comprehensible guide to the industry - with everything arranged in one accessible place. From Associations to Working at Height, whoever you need to speak to, or whatever product you need, you will find it nestled between these pages.

The Tomorrow’s Cleaning Yearbook offers you a definitive reference guide for the cleaning industry, in an easily-readable format. The next time you need a certain product or service; I know you will turn to the Yearbook for the solution.

Our ‘What’s On?’ guide, tells you the places to be and people to see. Our Useful Contacts page lists those all-important numbers for when you need help, advice, or simply just that right person to talk to. Our alphabetised industry sectors means that you can easily locate a manufacturer, supplier or a service provider quickly and efficiently.

We hope you enjoy this Yearbook and it will serve you well over the next 12 months. Here’s to another fantastic year.
