WMEA Capitol Concerts During NAfME’s Music In Our Schools Month®

NAfME National Assembly (MIOSM® ),
WMEA sponsors school music ensemble concerts in the Wis- consin State Capitol Rotunda on select March dates at noon. WMEA members may apply each year to provide an opportunity for their students to perform in this exceptional space, an acoustic environment unlike most others they will have experienced.
NAfME will host the annual National Assembly in Reston, Va., on June 9–11, 2025. The purpose of the National Assembly is to convene state and national leaders who work collaboratively on music education advocacy and education needs and initiatives. All National Assembly participants will make appointments with their representatives and senators on Wed., June 11, with the goal of preserving and advancing music education as an essential part of well-rounded education for all students.
This year’s delegation from Wisconsin will include leadership from the WMEA Executive Committee. Undergraduate level music education students may attend with university support to access the 2025 NAfME Collegiate Leadership Advocacy Summit that runs concurrently with the National Assembly.
