wsma middle level state honors music project

Middle Level State Honors Music Project Erica Ruppert, WSMA Program Director

October 28–29 marked the culmina- tion of months of musical prepara- tion by the Middle Level Honors Ensemble Students. Of the nearly 900 students that auditioned, 305 were selected to participate in the two-day event during the Wiscon- sin State Music Conference. The students who were chosen received their music in early August. After three months of individual practice and work with school music teach- ers and/or private instructors, these students came together to prepare for the October 29 concerts with the full ensemble. Verona Area High School Performing Arts Center provided the audience members with a beautiful venue where they could enjoy these magnificent performances. This experience would not be possible without the dedicated volunteer assistance of music teachers from around the state.
