x District and Concert Festivals

In-Person Spring Festivals and 2020–21 WSMA Accreditation Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations and guidelines, and for the safety of all involved, WSMA has made the difficult decision not to sup- port in-person District Solo & Ensemble, State Solo & Ensemble and Con- cert Festivals for the remainder of the 2020–21 school year. Subsequently, WSMA Accreditation will be suspended for the 2020–21 school year.

Virtual Festivals The Virtual Solo & Ensemble Festival is underway! In response to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, WSMA is proud to provide the WSMA Virtual Solo & Ensemble Festival for the 2020–21 school year. This opportunity allows students to submit video performances for adjudicator feedback, and if desired, a rating.

Festival App – NEW! WSMA is excited to provide membership with a new, web-based festival registration system! The WSMA Festival App will be utilized for all 2020–21 Virtual Solo & Ensemble Festival registrations and will continue to be used for in-person festival registrations in the future.

The WSMA Festival App will require the following event information to submit registrations: Student name(s), school name, event class number, pdf upload of publisher printed original music and upload of music performance video. WSMA recommends allowing extra time for the registration process as the upload of music performance videos can vary greatly depending on file size and internet connection speed.

For questions regarding the Festival App or to request a Festival App account, please contact WSMA through festivals@wsmamusic.org or by phone at 800-589-9762.

Concert Group Feedback and Ratings Virtual adjudication and feedback for concert groups can be arranged by contacting Erica Ruppert at eruppert@wsmamusic.org or by phone at 800-589-9762.
