UK Focus v New website for testing and inspection services

Socotec has launched a brand new website designed to enhance the visual and interactive experience of the user.

The new site offers a host of upgraded features and benefi ts, including improvements to the layout and search functions, which enable users to locate the services, content and general information they are looking for with effi ciency and ease. The site has also been optimised for tablet and mobile usage, with the ability to be accessed anywhere, at any time and on any device.

One of the most notable changes surrounding the

website launch is the development of new and enhanced sector pages, where users can discover how Socotec is able to support individual sectors (including food and beverages, agriculture, retail, leisure, hospitality, transportation and marine/offshore) with its broad array of service offerings. Similarly, users will also be able to search for a specifi c service using Socotec’s dedicated service fi nder, which offers users recommendations to provide them with a wider breadth of solutions.

As well as the option of fi ltering services, website visitors will also notice similar improvements to the presentation of Socotec’s digital content. Blogs and FAQs can be fi ltered according to their respective themes, sectors and topics, enabling users to learn more about specifi c services and determine more tailored answers to specifi c questions. The same applies to case studies, where users can fi lter the content to learn about the latest projects Socotec has been working on.

To keep up-to-date with the latest news from Socotec and the wider industry, users can continue to access news releases and hot topics, which are also formatted as related content to accompany individual sector and service pages. There is also the option to sign up to Socotec’s range of e-newsletters, enabling users to receive the latest industry news from the asbestos, rail and health and safety sectors directly into their inbox.

Despite the website having undergone considerable enhancements to its design and usability, visitors will be still able to access all of the same material as they did on the old interface, including MiPortal (the organisation’s interactive compliance dashboard and repository), the online Shop and the Socotec Certifi cation and Socotec Group websites. Users can also continue to benefi t from Socotec’s accreditation fi nder to identify accredited services that align with their business requirements, a site locator to determine their nearest Socotec site, and our Careers page, where users can search for vacancies and read employee testimonials.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of Socotec’s brand new website, which we strongly believe will further strengthen the commitment to excellence, innovation and entrepreneurship that our customers have come to associate us with,” said Charlotte Hughes, UK head of marketing & communications, Socotec. “Our new website has been designed and enhanced with our clients’ needs at the forefront, and we look forward to providing them with access to technical expertise and accredited service offerings in a more effi cient, customisable and engaging digital format.”

hearing protection signs One of Pulsar Instruments’ most popular noise warning products, the Pulsar SafeEar, has now been made weatherproof. This new IP65 rated weatherproof noise activated warning sign lights up to warn site workers and visitors when noise levels have exceeded a pre-set decibel trigger. The sign will indicate that hearing protection must be worn, and when the light goes off workers know it is safe to remove their hearing PPE.

The SafeEar is ideal for industrial processes, construction sites, outdoor maintenance areas, exteriors of business premises and environments where water or high levels of moisture and dust may be present.

These signs don’t have to be only used outside. As the signs are IP65 rated

they can be used in any area where moisture might be present or in areas that undergo high levels of industrial cleaning. They can also be used outside business premises to help people keep their noise levels down to reduce the risks of noise complaints.

A faster approach to multi-residue pesticides sample preparation in food

For More Info, email: email:

In-line sample preparation (ILSP) uses the power of an LC-MS/MS to streamline and automate sample extract clean-up. Restek’s Revive ILSP Pesticides cartridges are an ideal sample preparation alternative for food safety labs seeking to spend less time and money on multiresidue pesticides samples without sacrifi cing performance. Revive ILSP Pesticides cartridges separate analytes from potentially interfering matrix components just like conventional QuEChERS and SPE methods do, but they replace time-consuming manual procedures with a faster automated clean-up process that occurs on the instrument concurrently with sample analysis.

For More Info, email: email:

With a Revive ILSP Pesticides cartridge, six-port valve, and an independent isocratic pump, your instrument can be transformed into an analytical workhorse, combining sample clean-up and analysis in a single, effi cient method. Signifi cantly decrease sample preparation time, cut the costs associated with disposable sample prep products, and reduce errors related to manual procedures by integrating Revive ILSP into your current methods for multiresidue pesticides analysis in foods.
