Air Monitoring 29 JCT Expands Presence on the Asian Marketplace
In 1992 JCT Analysentechnik GmbH was established and in 2017 the company celebrates 25 years in business and expands their activities, particularly in Asia. The specialist for gas sampling systems, sample gas conditioning solutions and analysers for Total Hydrocarbon (THC) monitoring, JCT Analytical Technology has clear growth goals for this marketplace and takes a number of steps to secure its position for future growth:
JCT Analytical Technology (Nanjing) Co. Ltd is a new Joint Venture. With headquarters in Austria, the company has a year-long partner to serve the Chinese market with local consulting and technical expertise. JCT China is managed by Mr Wang Wei and works with a broad base of system integrators all over the country. “After fi ve years of continuous growth in China we now made the step to show our commitment to support our existing and future customers,” said Jameson Chang, the responsible regional manager of JCT.
In India JCT is starting 2017 with a fresh breeze and a manager with many years of experience. Mr Roland Zepeck, who has served Indian customers for more than 30 years, being responsible for major European and US suppliers in the fi eld of environmental monitoring and process control and joined JCT earlier this year to use his strong presence and knowledge about the needs and requirements of environmental engineers in India.
For many years JCT is present in the Asian market through a branch offi ce in Singapore which is headed by Mr Jameson Chang. Customers of JCT are integrators of CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems) and Process Control solutions in countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan and Australia. Partners in China and India have been served from the branch offi ce in Singapore too.
Günter Zimmel; JCT CEO & Wang Wei; JCT China Manager
Main products of JCT for Asia include gas sampling probes (high temp, high dust, Ex-zone) as well as sample gas lines (heated lines for demanding applications) or sample gas coolers and sample gas conditioning systems. In cooperation with a German manufacturer JCT recently introduced the JFID series of fl ame ionisation detectors for real time hydrocarbon measurement in industrial applications.

Explosion Proof Drying of Sample Gas
Graphical User Interface Available for Range of CLD Analysers
Eco Physics’ new “GUI - Graphical User Interface” enables an intuitive and user friendly operation of your CLD analyser, including instrument set-up, calibration, measurement, data management and remote operation. GUI is navigated via the 7-inch touchscreen (for the CLD 60 and CLD Supreme line series) and now even via the larger 8-inch, HD-resolution touchscreen for the upcoming nCLD-series (including nCLD60, nCLD800 and nCLD Supreme Line – series).
The full-range supplier and specialist for gas sampling and conditioning equipment AGT-PSG offers compressor coolers series BCR05 Ex for safe and reliable gas analysis in ATEX zone 1 and 2. The cooler is designed and manufactured according to the latest ATEX-guideline EN2014/34/EU. These high performance and low maintenance coolers are especially used for continuous extractive gas analysis. They serve primarily for exact constant lowering of the sample gas dew point and thus for drying of the humid sample gas fl ow. In this way water vapour cross sensitivities and volumetric errors are reliably minimised and damages of the sensible analyser are avoided.
The precise proportional temperature control in combination with the long-lasting hot-gas bypass system and the high performance heat exchangers achieves low extremely constant dew points. Also load fl uctuations and high thermal stress are compensated reliably. The two mono or dual heat exchangers with one or two gas paths each are built in a solid aluminium cylinder which guarantees an optimal energy exchange between sample gas and cooling medium. In addition, the aluminum cylinder is an effective cold storage that supports the compensation of unfavorable operating conditions. The coolers are equipped with exchangeable heat exchangers which allows an easy replacement without dismantling the device. For drying of explosive sample gas AGT-PSG offers heat exchangers made of stainless steel for integration within tubed systems. Alternatively heat- exchanger materials PVDF or glass are also available.
The cooling system is fi lled with CFC-free refrigerant R134a. The sample gas cooler is equipped with an analog indication for temperature monitoring (unique on the market) and a potential-free alarm contact. The latest data sheet is available on the brand new website.

Its main features are: Security Management (accessibility, individual user optimised presentation), Time Controlled Processes (measurement, calibration, and linearisation sequences), data logging and data storage (measurements, calibration history, and linearisation history), setup, control and diagnostics, signal In- and Output management. The CLD-Dashboard can display your values by 3 options: graphic screen, simple screen, detailed screen. GUI can be accessed by 4 possible user logins, which enable different, individually set operations. The surface is divided into 6 major compartments. The “Operation” button comprises the main functions of the instrument, were you can select your gas source and your measurement range. Additionally you can alter the measurement sequence and determine, if you wish to store or export the measurement data. The instrument can be powered down and put to standby in this window. Via the “Calibration” button can check on your calibration history, set the calibration sequence, conduct a single step zero or span calibration, set the calibration factors and store the data. Additionally you can also set up your linearisation sequence, perform a single step linearisation and check upon your instrument’s linearisation with your calibration gas. With “Diagnostic” you can check upon your instrument’s performance. It will display, if any adjustments are required. “Control” sets up the communication pathways to operate your instrument. For instance it displays your remote operation settings. “Setup” controls the basic settings of the instrument, such as the language, application, communication and security management. While operating your instrument, GUI offers a quick “Help” function, which will offer direct assistance for your currently opened window, as well as a link to the online manual of your instrument.
“GUI” is a new level of intuitively controlling and conducting your NOX-measurement and it will also be available on the next generation of CLD-analysers: the “neo CLD” Series. With the help of the upgraded 8-inch, HD resolution touchscreen and an unmatched connectivity, the neo CLD will simplify your NOX-measurement and will enable expert level performance for every user type. Details will follow in 2017!
