New Multi Gas Detector Ensures Simple, Effective and Reliable Worker Safety in Hazardous Zones


GAZOMAT have added Gazotrack 4, a multi-gas detector with smart infrared sensor technology for hydrocarbon applications and electrochemical sensors for toxic and odourant gases, to their family of optical NDIR gas detectors.


This hand-held device can simultaneously detect 4 gases with a 100 ppm sensitivity limit for methane, and meets all international safety and performance criteria in a wide range of industrial applications. ATEX and IEC-Ex Zones 0, 1 and 2 certifi ed, the Gazotrack 4 ensures worker safety whether testing for explosive or toxic gases in potentially hazardous scenarios such as atmospheric assessment indoors or outdoors, borehole monitoring, checking gas pipelines when purging and fi lling, network monitoring of storage and transportation depots, or measuring odorant gases.


The Gazotrack 4 also provides means to ensure measurement reliability and accuracy: an in-built thermal compensation device offsets any temperature fl uctuations and prevents condensation formation, and the long life IR sensor is immune to poisonous compounds.


Gazotrack 4 is compact, light and rugged. Users will appreciate the simple interface with 4 control buttons, its rapid start- up within 30 seconds, with no need to set up or adjust the instrument. An embedded set of failsafes makes sure that the instrument will always clearly signal any faults, and changing sensors and fi lters is simple and requires no recalibration. Incidents are logged and can be reported via Bluetooth, whilst the instrument will emit an audible signal and show a visual fl ashing red LED display when a hazardous gas is detected.


Available in a methane version only, the Gazotrack 4 detector includes several user modes that can be defi ned at the time of purchase. Switching between modes is automatic or can be done manually from an on-screen menu.

9000 Hydrocarbon Analyser is a microprocessor-based instrument designed for continuous ambient or process hydrocarbon gas measurement in environmental or industrial settings. The analyzer can be purchased in a variety of confi gurations with internal components for single or multi-point


sampling for pre-fi ltered (< 0.1 microns) non-condensing samples.


The Series 9000 has an incredible active range from less than 10 ppb on the high sensitivity version and up to 100% as methane on the percent level version. Standard outputs include alarm and fault relays, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA analog, or the suggested digital options, RS-232 or Ethernet. Confi gurations can also include components for single or multipoint analysis.


Kay features include built-in software options, navigated by a large graphical display and easy to use menu system, eliminating the need for external computing. Also incorporated into the unit are a help menu, on-board diagnostics, factory and local contact information, and an on-board service reminder for preventative maintenance.
