Air Monitoring

Tunable Diode Laser For Gasmet CX-4000 , CO, NOx

, HCl, O2 and calibrate. This has in turn often lead to high investment & maintenance costs.

Gasmet Technologies set out the change this when the project for the new Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) module was started. The goal was to incorporate the whole assembly inside the enclosure of Gasmet Cx-4000 FTIR gas analyser. The end result is a single analyser which is capable of measuring H2

O, CO2 , CO, NO, NO2 , N2 O, SO2 , HCl, HF, NH3 , TOC, O2 and many others.

This TDL module for Cx-4000 features a Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL), which are known for their long lifetime. Also, there’s very little concern of interference from other gases, since the VCSEL utilises a part of the spectrum where O2 free from other gases. Finally, the VCSEL laser uses the same gold coated sample cell which withstands very high concentrations of H2

measurement results are stored on the hard-drive of an Industrial Computer along with other measurement results (no additional analog input is needed). From the computer the results can be transmitted to DCS or DAHS for compensation calculations with various different outputs (analog & digital).

Ambient Air Analysis with FT-IR

absorption band is virtually interference O and corrosive gases, such as HCl and SO2 .

In the past, Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems have relied on different types of technologies for measurement of criteria pollutants like SO2

, TOC. What this has meant from the end user point of view is that there are multiple analysers to maintain

Gasmet dx4030 – Unleash the power of ftir!

the all-new gasmet dx4030 multi-component ftir gas analyzer can simultaneously detect up to 25 gases (both organic and inorganic) in ambient air. In addition, validated results are provided in less than 30 seconds.

Gasmet Technologies from Finland is a leading manufacturer of FT-IR gas analysers for demanding industrial gas monitoring applications. The latest addition to the Gasmet product family is the Gasmet DX4030, which is the first truly portable FT-IR gas analyser on the market.

Gasmet DX4030 Features:

• Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis

o Identification of both organic & inorganic compounds

o Multi-compound analysis as standard (max. 25 compounds analysed simultaneously with Calcmet Lite)

o Cross-interferences automatically compensated for in the analysis

o Possibility to store sample spectra for post-measurement analysis with Laptop PC and Calcmet Pro (250 compound chemical library available for identification of unknowns)

o Low levels of detection and quantification

• Low operating costs

o No sensors etc. that would need replacing on regular basis

o Corrosion & contamination resistant materials

o Calibration checks are not needed; only zero calibration with nitrogen or air once per day

• Quick to set-up & straightforward to use

o Absolutely no sample preparation needed

o Battery operated

o Truly portable solution – user can move freely in the measurement site
