Microtector III G888 & Polytector III G999: The new class of Multi-GasDetection devices

A gas warning device as a part of the personal protective equipment has to alert the user reli- ably about hazardous gases. Therefor portable gas monitors have to be reliable and durable while at the same time cost effi cient. The compact and safe GfG Multi-GasDetection devices Microtector III G888 and Polytector III G999 meet highest standards inclusive performance test.

In the case of hazardous gases, the G888 and G999 alert the user both acoustically and visually. A 103 dB(A) alarm tone sounds while the display changes from green to red. In addition, the fi ve gas standard version is performance tested. To draw gases from inaccessible areas, the G999‘s internal pump can be activated by pushing up the diffusion barrier. The display then shows the user the pump delivery rate together with the suction distance.

Wireless Options

The new G888 and G999 are optionally equipped with a radio module and a man down alarm. For Europe and Africa using the 868 MHz ISM-band provides a trans- mission range up to 700 m. The 915 MHz band for North and South America has a maximum range of 350 m. Data about gas concentrations and alarms can be transmitted either to a computer or to the GfG-Link. The portable and Ex-approved GfG-Link is intended to give supervisors a way

to monitor the status of teams in hazardous surroundings. In addition it is possible to send messages and instruc- tions from a GfG-Link or a computer onto the display of the G888 and G999 and receive acknowledgements.

Another world’s fi rst

To practice behavior in dangerous situations, an in- structor can remotely trigger the G888 and G999 gas alarms.

Up to fi ve sensors for a variety of toxic and combustible gases as well as for oxygen can be plugged in simultaneously. With the new GfG Multi-GasDetection instruments, up to eight different measurement tasks can be covered simultaneously,
