Stock preparation kit from ANDRITZ for Sun Paper in Laos


A complete reject


handling line along with key stock preparation equipment has been


started up by Andritz at Sun Paper’s Savannakhet mill in Laos. The handling line processes


rejects from the mill’s two OCC lines. The pulp drying line on site and has a design capacity of 400 tons per day. The reject handling line included


a compactor for dewatering the light rejects from coarse and drum screening to highest dryness; a shredder equipped with a unique knife system and a robust rotor to ensure that the


benefit from the highly energy- efficient equipment, its long lifetime, easy maintenance and, in particular, from the powerful new reject handling system.” Andritz also installed approach

material is cut to the required particle sizes in only one step; and a shredder with special coupled shafts to facilitate knife exchange during maintenance for reducing downtime.


More container board lines for Shanying’s Jiaxing mill


Two container board making lines are being supplied by Valmet to Zhejiang Shanying Paper in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang province in China. The OptiConcept M lines, PM16 and PM17, will be installed with automation, services and industrial internet applications for start-up between the end of 2022 and early 2023. The machines for Jiaxing will be the 11th and 12th OptiConcept M supplied to Zhejiang Shanying Paper, with the previous ten machines installed at other mills. “Our cooperation with Valmet has been excellent, and it is based on mutual trust. We are really happy about the already started-


up machine lines of Huazhong PM21 and PM23. This was a decisive factor when we were choosing the supplier for PM16 and PM17. We are expecting to have excellent support for the start-up and the line optimisation after the start-up with the extensive automation package,” says Wu Ming Wu, chief executive of Shanying International. Shanying Paper is part of Shanying International Holding and operates a number of packaging paper and newspaper production lines producing box board paper, high-strength fluting paper, card paper, newspaper and other products.

Four jet coaters for Jiangxi Five Star Paper in China


China’s Jiangxi Five Star Paper Co has ordered four PrimeCoat Jet coaters for online coating at its Jiujiang mill. The four Andritz coaters will be used on a white cardboard and folding boxboard production line with a design speed of 1,000 m/ min and a maximum web-width of 5,660mm. They feature a jet nozzle to apply the coating colour to the paper web. Dispensing methods can be either bent blade, stiff blade or doctor blade. The advanced nozzle geometry ensures uniform application of the coating colour to the paper web, even at high speeds and high viscosities or solid contents. Vice general manager at Jiangxi Five Star Paper, Zhang Yanchen,


says: “We are looking forward to the installation of the new coaters. Due to the Andritz jet coating technology and its various application possibilities we will gain in flexibility. We expect less maintenance, lower operation costs, and higher quality of the end product.” Jiangxi Five Star Paper is specialised on the production of gration-paper. Since 2015 it is part of part of Quzhou Wuzhou Special Paper, one of China’s largest food wrapping paper producers.
