Pre-school’s shed is wrecked by vandals

PRE-SCHOOL staff in Penenden Heath are angry after thugs de- stroyed an outdoor shed. Supervisor Tracey Watson said

the intruders ripped wood off the shed in the attack on July 7, but did not steal any items. Now Penenden Heath Pre- School wants to raise enough money to install CCTV and lights. Mrs Watson said: “I don’t know why they would target the shed. I can only think they were looking for materials and then realised it was full of children’s equipment. “This is a big blow for us as a charity. On this occasion, my hus- band will come out and fit security screws and metal panels.” Liberal Democrat borough coun- cillor David Naghi said: “This was a despicable act, targeting a charity which provides an important ser- vice to young people. help this wonderful pre-school out with a donation of any kind.” Secretary Leanne Terry said: “Pe- nenden Heath Pre-School was sadly the victim of a break in which resulted in significant dam-

age to our storage shed, which was bought with fundraising money. “As a charity, we rely signifi-

cantly on donations and fundrais- ing events run by our committee. We would be extremely grateful of any donations to help support us.” To donate go to gofund.me/32f6a718.
