Red Kite Fostering is a family run, dynamic independent fostering agency established in 2011, to meet the needs of children and young people in the looked after system who need a caring family home.
Our team are experienced, motivated, and committed to helping you make a real and lasting change to the lives of children, delivering a child centred service, the standard of care and support provided by Red Kite Fostering is second to none.
Based in Herefordshire and serving Mid Wales, West Midlands, and Wales. Red Kite Fostering works in partnership with Local Authorities and families to shape and provide a service that will improve outcomes for all children.
TYPES OF PLACEMENTS Red Kite Fostering offers a wide range of foster placements for children and young people of all ages who cannot, for whatever reason, live with their own families. The type of placements we provide include:
• Long-Term Fostering • Parent and child
• Short-Term Fostering • Respite Care
• Emergency Fostering
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Foster carers can be all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds and ages, our current youngest foster carer is 24 and the oldest is age 72. Due to the diversity of the children within the care system, the more people who are approved as foster carers, the more likely it is that a good match can be found for a child in terms of location, culture, lifestyle, language, and interests, thereby reducing instability and disruption.
WHY RED KITE? Aside from fees and allowances, you will get access to any training you may need, a 24/7 on call support worker, a supervising social worker, family support workers, 14 days paid holiday a year, travelling allowances, fun days out, free membership to The Fostering Network, discount vouchers, tea and cake when you call in to the office and so much more. You will be joining a highly motivated, professional team keen to help you succeed in fostering.
Once a child or young person is placed with you, you will not be left to manage alone, you will be part of our team.
