S T Y L E FOR MEN’ S WEDDINGS SPECIAL

It’s not just the ladies who need to look their best on their special day but the men too. Our fashion writer Julia Suzuki takes a look at trends for 2021 with all suits courtesy of Birmingham-based House of Cavani who offer some gorgeous suits in an array of stately fabrics.
Leading suppliers of the most on-point wedding suits, they offer sophisticated and modern menswear to complement the most beautiful of wedding gowns at affordable price points. With styles that are constantly being refreshed and reinvented, Cavani have skillfully transported Italian tailoring perfection back home to the UK, with a level of quality and fit that gives that complete sharp dressed finesse with a broad range of looks to suit all personalities.
SO WHAT IS NEW IN 2021 FOR THE GUYS?
Out of lockdown the most fashionable trend is the well– presented three piece suit. It’s a straightforward look that offers a more commanding presence than a two-piece. Whilst traditionally men have opted for greys and blacks for weddings, there is more choice today. One of Cavani’s popular options is a bright blue suit, perfect for spring and summer. Mix up the waistcoat with another fabric, colour or texture if you want a little more pizzazz! If the bright blue is a little too out there for your tastes, navy blue might be a safer alternative.
It’s not just the colour of the suit to consider either – alternative shades, textures and patterns are also growing in popularity. Think tweeds and checks in any colour, splashed with florals in shorts, neckties and hankies if you dare.
Summer weddings are going to be in high demand this year and lightweight fabrics are a great choice for those warmer days. Cavani does a fabulous lightweight beige suit, but navy blue

feature buttons and pocket piping gives it a little modern twist. With adult and children’s versions, dress the kids in a matching version for a bit of lads and dads twinning.
A big pattern choice (whilst looking slightly heavier) is not something to dismiss for the big day. Tweed suits have soared in popularity the last five years – seen sported by celebrities and moguls, this fabric will continue to major in the next couple of years. TV shows like ‘Peaky Blinders’ with its Brummie charm have inspired and influenced HOC who share the local heritage.
Vintage tweed rocks at any country setting as the wedding venue. Not a good choice for a beach style setting, but it’s also the perfect fit for winter.
And if you still prefer a more traditional feel, a neutral grey tone makes a versatile choice. It can be teamed with a variety of shirt and tie combos and is likely to be worn time and time again after the big day.
