POSITIVE ECO POOL CHANGES M
aking your customers’ pools more environmentally friendly is easier than you might
think thanks to a range of products available from Golden Coast. DEL slatted automatic pool covers
for instance come with the option of solar polycarbonate slats, which use the sun’s rays to effectively heat a pool. Covers such as the DEL Tixit reduce dependency on electric heating. But when a heater is needed,
particularly in cooler months, Golden Coast has a range of heat pumps that can operate on lower currents and save thousands on energy bills. For example, the compact yet powerful Dura Vi has an innovative vertical ventilation design for efficiently heating pools and spas. It even operates in ambient air temperatures as low as -10 °C. Improving the overall efficiency of your pool means optimising the efficiency of your circulation pump. Speck BADU Eco pumps enhance water flow and use variable motor speeds to lower energy consumption and operating costs. A pump can even help to reduce the use of plastic pipes when updating a pool, as products such as the Speck EasyFit pump can easily replace an old model without the need to replumb part of a plant room. WATER TREATMENT The Triogen Bio UV system pumps
water through a chamber and past a low-pressure (LP) lamp that emits a specific wavelength of ultraviolet light.
THE POOLCOP IS ONE OF A HOST OF ECO- FRIENDLY products available through Golden Coast.
The water is then thoroughly dosed with UV, which breaks down the DNA of bacteria. Automatic water dosing can also
make treatment more economical. GC Crystal systems use dosing pumps to effectively dispense proportional pH and sanitiser within any size body of water. For convenience and flexibility, users can control GC Crystal systems via ERMES connectivity software. When it comes to improving the effectiveness of every pool feature,
“THE POOLCOP REMOTELY MONITORS LIGHTING AND WATER LEVELS PUTTING OWNERS AND POOL TRADE IN COMPLETE CONTROL.”
consider the PoolCop. The system remotely monitors lighting, water levels and much more, putting owners and pool trade alike in complete control. The system alerts to any faults allowing them to be fixed quickly. This not only minimises lost resources and optimises energy use, but it also reduces the need for physical visits, enabling pool engineers to cut down on their carbon footprint travelling to and from customers’ pools.
