SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT

ALLEN WILSON 28.4.44 – 3.5.20

Allen Wilson died in May of 2020 and his death will undoubtedly prove to be a significant loss to the UK swimming pool industry. Allen challenged, both inside and outside the industry, on subjects like unexplained drowning and even queried the water treatment credentials of Princess Diana’s memorial water fountain. Allen was always keen to share his industry knowledge mostly, via his own, unique comedic style of presentation. He will be fondly remembered. With no hesitation, the UK Pool & Spa Awards jury paid tribute to an outstanding personality by awarding this year’s Special Achievement Award to the irreplaceable Allen Wilson and will ensure his trophy is passed to his family.
