What is the aim of Bovey Futures and where does it


work? Bovey Futures is a community led organisation that aims to work with others to improve facilities and services in the Bovey Tracey parish. The area comprises Bovey Tracey, Brimley and Heathfield.


What kind of


organisation is it? Bovey Futures is a Co-operative Company with charitable objectives. This means that it can, if required, own and manage buildings, hire staff and deliver services. It is run by volunteers on behalf of, and for the benefit of, the local community. Bovey Futures is a membership organisation.


Any resident or community group in Bovey Tracey parish can join, and all members (over the age of 16) can elect directors and help decide what issues and projects Bovey Futures should focus on. Membership entitles you to one vote at general


meetings, to put yourself forward as a member of the board, and to elect the board. If you want to get involved or find our more

Our Objects/Purposes Bovey Futures is a community-based organisation that works to stimulate economic, social and environmental well-being for everyone in the Bovey Tracey parish. Bovey Futures's vision is for Bovey Tracey parish


to be a resilient community that is able to respond to new challenges, and promotes the well-being of its people and environment, and the sustainability of its organisations. The objects of Bovey Futures are specifically


restricted to carry on the business as a co- operative for the promotion, for the benefit of the public, of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation, and in particular in the parish of Bovey Tracey.


In the past year we have supported


several projects in the parish such as the Plastic free Bovey campaign as well as the Bovey Flags (Proud 2B here!).
