1. Why are you passionate about your specialty? I feel that there is a great need in our country to provide alterna-


tives to drug therapy and surgical procedures which can sometimes be avoided by providing a natural, non-toxic treatment solution.


2. What sets you apart from other practitioners in the holistic fi eld?


As a licensed MD I am able to provide, when necessary, medications along with our natural treatments to achieve the best results. We also provide injectable vitamins, which can have a much greater effect than taking oral supplements.


3. What can patients expect from working with you?


We offer a friendly, relaxed healing environment where patients concerns are given the time and attention needed. I practice individualized medicine, not a cookbook approach.


4. What plans do you have for the future for your practice?


We are growing our practice of regenerative medicine and mak- ing more people aware of the options of Stem Cell Therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma treatments which can sometimes improve conditions not considered to be effectively treated by any current existing drugs on the market. This may allow a patient to avoid the need to have surgery.


5. Tell us about the best memory you have about being a holistic practitioner.


Seeing patients respond to a natural therapy that they were un-


aware existed because they were only informed about conven- tional drug therapy always gives me a feeling of great satisfaction. I have helped many patients who had previously seen a number of conventional MDs who could not help them with what is the current standard of care in conventional medicine. I was able to help one patient have a much faster recovery from a stroke and I helped another elderly man successfully improve his tremors. Both of these patients provided testimonials which can be seen on my website.


6. What do you like the most about being a part of Natural Nutmeg? I appreciate the opportunity to expand the universe of people


who are aware of the effectiveness of natural healing approaches.

1. Why are you passionate about your specialty? Hope. I am passionate about being a naturopathic doctor because it


provides tools that can restore hope. The foundations of naturopathic medicine lie in the belief that the body has an innate wisdom that will move in the direction of healing if given the right circumstances. When patients feel well they have an opportunity to reach their highest potential.


2. Why did you become a Naturopathic practitioner and business owner?


After many years working in a conventional medical fi eld, I could see that patients needed more. Through my own experience with chronic illness, I was introduced to Naturopathic medicine and found hope. With the help of my amazing mentors, I was able to eliminate medi- cations and restore my health. Reversing PCOS and hypothyroid and restoring my life with Chronic Lyme Disease and autoimmune disease was a miracle. Naturopathic medicine has allowed me to heal and to share these miracles with others. My combined experience of over 20 years in healthcare with my own personal experience and healing jour- ney give me a unique perspective combining science and intuition.


3. Tell us about the best memory you have about being a holistic practitioner.


I will never tire of hearing about the small miracles every day. Many stories of hope can be found with those who no longer need medica- tion, who no longer have gastrointestinal discomfort, who no longer have migraines or anxiety. But when this healing process encompasses not only the physical symptoms but expands to include a spiritual and emotional shift it is inspirational. A patient healing her physical symp- toms tells me she fi nally decided to take the steps to quit her job and start her own business. A patient who overcomes severe anxiety and depression gains enough clarity to embrace gender transition, that is what makes Naturopathic medicine different. Helping patients reach their highest potential. Those are the stories that touch my soul.


4. What plans do you have for the future for your practice?


Moving back to my home state of CT has been a dream come true. I am so grateful to those in the community who have supported me and embraced my new practice. Continuing to fi nd ways to reach more people, to bring Naturopathic medicine to the community and expand the modalities that I offer are all things I hope to do in practice. I am honored to practice alongside Dr. Robert Kipp, DC and will continue to strive to provide the best care possible for all of my patients.
