FROM THE EDITOR WELCOME TO THE AUTUMN SPECIAL ISSUE!

So the wet, muddy dark evenings are back. Where did our lovely summer go?

Despite the Covid-19 restrictions across the country, equestrian activities are underway albeit in the much stricter and quieter environment. In this issue we have reports from Murcott Horse & Pony Show, Charity Horse Dressage 2020, Marlake Equestrian Dressage and Midlands Carriagedriving at Olney.

We also have some heavy horse reading for you; Charley Snowdon interviews the Rawnsley Work Horses and we have an introduction to the Midlands Heavy Horse Association. Joe Stockdale gives us some great schooling tips, and Avonvale Equine Practice educate us in the subject of castration.

We have the November/December issue out in the next few weeks, followed by the Winter Special in the first week of December. For next year we have decided to pause the Seasonal Specials, and Covid-19 permitting we will have a ‘Round Up’ special issue at the end of the summer. This issue will be full of show reports and stories of our readers and their equine friends.

Don’t forget that if you would like your story published, email h.dodd@centralhorsenews.co.uk for consideration

See you in November. Heather
