Capital Refractories Ltd (CRL) and Capital Injection Ceramics (CIC), are excited to participate in this first ever ICI virtual event. While we look forward to having future face to face interactions to continue to serve our customers, we believe this event provides an excellent platform for us to communicate how Capital Refractories and Capital Injection Ceramics have grown in capability and technology to better serve our clients. CIC, based in the UK, was established in 2007 and was created in response to a need in the market for a core supplier that would focus on client needs, rapid development of new or transfer core programs while maintaining excellent on-time delivery. Additionally, being a wholly owned subsidiary of the privately held company, Capital Refractories Ltd, CIC is able to make capital investments in equipment, continuous improvement of our ceramic material and reforming techniques quickly without having the bureaucracy of a larger company. This, along with our proactive engineering focus and client included project teams, enables CIC to develop and problem solve cores much quicker than industry standard.
As a response to our clients request and our focus on new technologies and equipment, we purchased a Bluelight Scanner in 2019. While the primary roll of this equipment is for development, it will also benefit the Process Control of production cores. These benefits include: reduced scrap rate, reduced development time and, enhanced communication for clients. In addition to our ceramic core
production facility, Capital also has a modern and progressive manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic, Capital
SRO. This world class facility focuses on ceramic shapes for investment casting and alloy production. The manufacture of crucibles (including One Shot, Isopress and Vibrocast), Target Tundishes, Gas Diffusers, and Alloy producing shapes (including Tundishes, Distribution Boxes, Launders and Ladles), to name a few, has proven hugely successful since work commenced almost 20 years ago. With our strong reputation for
developing new products, commitment to continuously update our technology and equipment, and coupled with our proactive customer focus, will ensure Capital’s growth in the industry for the foreseeable future. We look forward to you joining us
