About Lake of Constance & Bregenz


Lake Constance (German: Bodensee) is a lake on the Rhine at the northern foot of the Alps. Lake Constance is the third largest freshwater lake in Central and Western Europe in terms of surface area. The four-country region of Lake Constance with Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein, it is considered one of Europe’s most innovative


and at the same time most attractive regions. Future-oriented sectors such as biotechnology, automotive, communication technology and aerospace are there as are more than 30 colleges and universities. Bregenz is the capital of Vorarlberg,


the westernmost state of Austria. The city is on the eastern shores of Lake Constance. The city is on a plateau


falling in a series of terraces to the lake at the foot of Pfänder mountain. It is a junction of the arterial roads from the Rhine valley to the German Alpine foothills, with cruise ship services on Lake Constance.
