As many of you know, we enjoyed great success last session with the passage of SB1474. Just as a reminder, this is the bill that modernized the Private Activ-


ity Bond Program.


Passing legislation often is a twofold task. Passing the bill is, of course, step num- ber 1. Then you have the responsibility of tracking the changes that we made and that is exactly what we are doing now. We are in the process of monitoring the changes that were made to the PAB program to ensure that the steps that were made to create efficiencies in the program, are actually happening. Prior to start of 87th legislature we will report to the members of the Texas Legislature on the effectiveness of SB1474. This extra mile helps to build trust and relation- ships with members of both the House and Senate.
