Sonoma County, CA. ~ In lieu of the beloved Love of the Land event, which couldn’t be held because of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Shelter in Place Order, Sonoma County Farm Bureau hosted a take home BBQ fund- raiser on Thursday, July 16. Farm Bureau staff and volunteers distrib- uted almost 400 dinners,

which included a total of approximately 800 lbs. of tri-tip.

Dinners, which were

available only by pre- ordering, served 4 or 8 people and included a whole tri-tip roast, Lombardi’s BBQ baked beans, Franco Ameri- can garlic bread, Lori Bianchi’s pasta salad, and Costeaux’s classic chocolate chip cookies.

We Do It!

Those who purchased dinners for 8 also re- ceived a bottle of Pre- mium Sonoma County wine and customers could also add on a fresh baked Kozlowski apple or three berry pie.

County Farm Bureau Presi- dent Jeff Carlton said that he was thrilled with the success of the fundraiser. “We appreci-

ate the strong outpouring of support

for

our organiza- tion and even though we couldn’t have our annual Love of the Land event it was great to be able to see so many of our members, supporters, and friends as they picked up their BBQ meals,” Carlton said. “We couldn’t have done it without a hard- working group of volun-

times like these, Sonoma County Farm Bureau works daily to protect and promote ag- riculture. The COVID-19 Pandemic and Shelter in Place Order forced us to cancel our fundraisers that sustain our organi- zation and allow us to provide benefits to our
