ix decades ago, community leaders saw the need for preserving and protecting Batavia’s rich history and the Batavia Historical

Society was formed. The Historical Society Board of Directors had been working on events to commemorate our Diamond Jubilee year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the board has decided to postpone any events out of consideration for our friends, family, local businesses, and the community.

Instead, we are launching a 60 for 60 membership campaign. The society needs new members, and we are encouraging your participation by becoming a member. Our Museum is inspired by the idea that a community must understand where they come from to know where they are going.

Becoming a member of the Batavia Historical and Depot Museum is an investment in our community. Your membership dollars are used to maintain our vast collection of artifacts, to put on free or affordable community and school programs, and to ensure we can tell Batavia’s story for generations to come. You can join for as little as $20!

Please visit our website: BataviaHistoricalSociety. org for information about membership, events, to donate to the expansion campaign, or to volunteer at the museum

The Historical Society will continue to plan for the commemoration our Diamond Anniversary in 2021.

FUNDRAISING TARGET AMOUNT $2,000,000 Fundraising efforts are still going strong!

Can We Count on You?

Visit bataviahistoricalsociety.org and see our great upcoming events, become a member and learn how you can get involved!
