nspired by requests from visiting members from the UK, Germany, Holland and Belgium, TransEurope Marinas has been
delighted to welcome the 530-berth Port de plaisance de Dieppe to its growing network. This marina in Normandy, Northern
France, includes three attractive basins just inside the mouth of the River Arques. A deep-water entry location, there are no tidal restrictions and visitors can enjoy being in the heart of the historic town of Dieppe, with restaurants and shops close by and a popular market voted the second most beautiful in France! bass, sea bream, crab, lobsters and scallops. The marina office is housed in the modern Ango building, where cruisers can make use of showers, washing machine and dryer, and take in the city views from the

A former Director at Poralu Marine, Jean-Pierre Carminati passed away on 6 May at the age of 63 following a long battle with illness. Jean-Pierre Carminati and his
brother Philippe developed the ‘pontoons’ division in the 1980s, making Poralu Marine the world leader it is today. Over 30 years of entrepreneurial initiatives and adventures followed. Léa Carminati, his niece, joined the
Acquired by The Marine & Property Group Ltd in 2017, the 180-berth Port Dinorwic on the coast of North Wales is about to replace its pontoons as part of a major upgrade project and Inland and Coastal Marina Systems (ICMS) of Banagher, Ireland, has been appointed to carry out the work. As much as possible of the existing
infrastructure at the Grade II listed marina will be adapted, but where this isn’t feasible ICMS will replace walkways and finger pontoons completely with its highly-respected Glass Reinforced Concrete-decked pontoons. This aesthetically pleasing decking remains slip-resistant even when wet and does not rot, thus

considerably reducing maintenance costs while increasing the longevity of the marina system. “We are investing in several areas
at Port Dinorwic Marina, including the installation of club standard washrooms, upgraded food and beverage outlets and common areas with the aim of ensuring our berth- holders and visitors enjoy a first-class experience for many years to come,” said Christopher Odling-Smee, Director of The Marine & Property Group. “We’ve chosen to work with Inland
and Coastal Marina Systems as not only do they produce quality durable pontoon systems, but the team is

His loss leaves a great void and it is no exaggeration to say that all 150 employees of the company feel a deep sadness and grieve with his family.
