NATCHEZ ON THE WATERFRONT 19
One of the most important things to keep in mind for all upgrading is what will help distinguish your facility from another? We strongly recommend talking with and, more importantly, listening to one’s customers and their opinions as to what could be, their perceptions, desires, needs and what they are looking for. This helps to gain a better perspective on where the future may lie. As we are all on a sort of collective ‘pause’, now might just be the time when your customers would be particularly receptive to having these types of conversations – even if it has to be at a distance!

customers. Another facility decided that it could undertake the major upgrade over the course of the off- season through a well-organised and orchestrated timetable. The result was
a seemingly ‘overnight’ transformation of the facility, which also generated significant interest and higher rates. In both of these cases, success came along with careful planning and
always keeping the experience of their customers in mind. The basis of retrofitting is like a
jigsaw puzzle – looking at all the pieces and seeing how they can fit together.
