LOCAL IT FIRM IS SET FOR EXPANSION
Progressive Bits, a small, local IT company specialising in automation of business software and processes has taken on a new member of staff, in line with plans to expand its existing services throughout 2020. Tim Preece, MD, said: “About 12
months ago I gave much thought to how I wanted to develop my business over the next few years. I am an experienced IT professional and much of my work has been with very large companies. At the moment we are developing some new products and services that I believe will also benefit the SME sector.” The new member of staff has
joined the expanding firm in a business administrator capacity, in order to free up Tim’s time to focus on his technical expertise. Plans are also underway to expand the
technical team, and Tim hopes to bring in another member of staff this year who has the skills to offer Progressive Bits’ core services to clients. Discussing his motivation in
establishing the business, Tim added: “The cost and carbon footprint of IT services that businesses rely on can be very high. My main aim was to offer alternatives that were both eco- friendly in terms of power usage and highly cost effective. “I looked at our forecasts and
decided we needed the extra help from a new member of staff to further our plans throughout 2020 and beyond. If things go well, I also intend to create another position for a new employee later on in the year.”
