new day. It is ironic that a child named Joy has suffered so much in her first six years on earth, but thankfully God is moving in the life of a child who has known little else but pain to give her a place where she will know real JOY.
Emmanuel’s Story
A Mother’s Words: My name is Hildah. One early morning, I awoke next to my son Emmanuel and laid my hand on him to get out of the bed. My first thought was how could he be so cold? I then looked in his face and saw he was not breathing. Frantically I shook him, but he did not move. I cried and I cried, “Why God?” And then I realized Emmanuel was now with Jesus. I hugged him, I held him, and I cried some more. Again and again I told my son how much I loved him. Seven hours later I was able to make contact with my Pastor Shadrack. I tearfully informed him how I had found Emmanuel earlier this day. He prayed for me and told me he would need to send Pastor Mustafa. Pastor Mustafa arrived about three in the afternoon, and I immediately took him in to see my child.
A Missionary’s Words: I am associate pastor of FLMK Mailisaba Worship Center. It was about two in the afternoon when Pastor Shadrack called me, told me about the death of a small boy and asked me to go and pray with Hildah the child’s mother. As I walked to her home, I asked God what was I to do. The Lord was quiet and spoke nothing. Yet my trust didn’t waver. I knew He was always faithful and would show me the way. When I arrived at the family home, Hildah greeted me at her door and told me Emmanuel was inside. I entered and saw him lying on the bed. I prayed for guidance and then took Emmanuel in my arms. He was cold and stiff. As I held him I looked up and said, “Help me Jesus.” Suddenly the child moved and opened his eyes. As my tears hit his body, he latched onto me and held me as tightly as I held him. Hildah yelled to thank Jesus and took Emmanuel from me. Emmanuel is now nine-years-old, healthy and full of life.
Here is Emmanuel, the boy who died and now lives, his mother Hildah and Pastor Mustafa. Praise the Lord!
