the horses already on their holidays on my return from France, it was then Beau's mini-break before he begins a winter of dressage and flying changes!

1st of December already, how?! The time seems to have passed so quickly for the eventers, and now I find myself getting their shoes on ready to begin their walking, before showjumping in the New Year.

We've certainly been kept busy at the yard in the meantime with young horses to take out and further their education. It’s been so satisfying taking green babies out to their first indoor shows, spook- ing left and right, to then four weeks later after weekly training and outings they have all matured to be jumping some brilliant rounds, and even come home in the prizes.

The so called 'Off Season' is a great opportunity to get the 5yo's and less experienced horses out to as many places as possible, letting them see and experience many different situations, all in preparation for the 2020 Event season, one which i am particularly excited about. I have an exciting yard of fantastic horses along with their amazing owners, So event planning in January is going to be particularly fun!

During this time I find myself teaching many of my loyal clients, where it is not always possible in the eventing season we manage to get together in the winter months for some consistent training. Most of which currently seems to be in torrential rain of minus temperatures, but you certainly can not knock their dedication. My pupils vary of all ages and abilities, but they really do make it so rewarding, with goals and plans of their own, it’s great to be part of making them happen.

A busy few weeks now lies ahead in the build up to Christmas, along with the shopping, still more outings planned of the coloured pole variety, plus arena XC. I am very lucky to have such a brilliant team behind me, the girls who work for me always wanting the best for each and every horse, and helping me to achieve their potential. Along with my mum, dad, sister and family keeping everything running smoothly in the yard and supporting me through the highs and the lows, I could not do it with out each and every one of you, thank you!

I am hoping everyone reading this has a great festive period, a lovely Christmas and a very happy 2020.
