Multiple projects in Middle East T
his year has seen Rolec Marina secure and complete a series of projects across multiple locations in the Mid-
dle East. Great partnerships have been formed and maintained to support the increasing demands for marina infrastructure in various industries, in- cluding luxury hotel resorts, maritime museums and oil companies. The Bistro is now open at Shamrock Quay
Berth-holders, tenants and visitors at MDL’s Shamrock Quay Marina can now enjoy a range of culinary delights from the new onsite bar and restaurant, The Bistro at Shamrock Quay, which opened on 7 November. The restaurant, situated at the
heart of the marina, offers a full seasonal a la carte selection, which currently includes dishes such as veal Milanese with spaghetti Arrabiata and lentil and chickpea curry. A selection of daily specials will be available, as well as a hearty roast on Sundays – perfect after a crisp day’s sail in Winter. Catering for those with limited

Olivier Bracon has been appointed Sales Director of Poralu Marine for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He holds a technical degree in mechanical engineering and is a graduate of IDRAC Business School at Lyon in the South of France where he studied marketing and industrial relations. Since beginning his career in 1997, he has been employed as a Sales Engineer, Marketing Manager, Sales Supervisor and Export Sales Manager for major concerns such as TAS, Freudenberg and Carrier. His prime objectives will be to
focus on Poralu’s international development – exports already account for 80% of the company’s business – and on promoting new products such as the Seabin floating waste collector to diversify the portfolio.
