Voice recognition version of Havenstar B

uilding on its long heritage in marina management innovation, Havenstar has taken its solution to the

next level with the introduction of speech recognition and voice assistant technology, making it the first global product to offer voice capability. The company announced its voice recognition prototype at METSTRADE, with the commercial offering available in 2020. Havenstar marina management

software (MMS) already offers mobile capabilities with its customer web portal and app solutions. The addition of artificial intelligence (AI) voice recognition further extends its flexibility, enabling routine actions to be completed on the move without delay. Kevin Morgan, Managing Director

of Havenstar, has stated that this latest development is leading the way in marina management software; the exciting introduction of voice recognition gives marina professionals the best mobile and on-demand functionality available today. It confirms Havenstar’s

commitment to develop a solution that not only offers the deepest, widest scope, but also allows it to adopt future technologies as they emerge. With the addition of voice

recognition, Havenstar MMS will further improve the user experience marina managers are able to offer to their customers. It will enhance marina staff’s ability to check availability, report damage and

enable live updates, away from their desk and in all weather conditions. The technology, which effortlessly handles different accents, is fully accessible to people with any level of computer literacy or limited physical dexterity. It extends the use of technology that is already familiar to users in everyday life and applies it to their professional activities to improve accuracy and save time.

If a marina team is already using iphones or ipads, Havenstar voice recognition requires no additional hardware to be bought as it works on any iOS device. Future developments are envisaged, including the release of an Alexa skill, an android version and off-line functionality. Havenstar pbrown@havenstar.com www.havenstar.com
