S

ince we united the edition for Europe & the Middle East with the one for the Asia-Pacific region in September last year, Marina Industry has continued to expand into new territories, including the USA, Gulf Coast and Caribbean Sea. This growth has now led to an increase in the title’s frequency of publication and Marina Industry will appear bi-monthly in 2020 from February to December, with the final issue of the year being in

the form of a new Buyers’ Guide & Directory to act as a reference for readers throughout the following year. The Guide will feature brief company profiles of suppliers of equipment and services to the marina industry, togeth- er with illustrations of new products developed by them during the previous 12 months. The Directory will list suppliers under sections relevant to operators seeking to improve their marinas and enhance

the services they offer to berth-holders, visiting yachts and the area in which they are located. The following two pages give a taste of the company profiles that will provide useful information about the history and current capabilities of companies serving the marina industry. They include the following well-established names:

Front cover: Although leisure boating is still relatively new in China, Hong Kong’s Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club is a haven for those who have adopted a recreational boating lifestyle. With a greater desire in the territory for owning a boat or a yacht, Clearwater Bay appointed UK-based Rolec Services Ltd to install pedestals and other services. From the increasingly popular Quantum Pedestal to the innovative BerthMaster, as well as essential Combi LED Deck Lighting, the partnership now provides the club’s 3,000 members with a simple and straightforward mooring experience. With the capacity to berth 300 boats, members of the club will benefit from safe and secure mooring during their travels, whilst enjoying the ability to monitor and control their use of electricity and water.
