THE ADVENTURES OF GINNY S

at here writing my blog from very much on the road, the other side of the road in fact as we have arrived in france and are making the mammoth road trip down to Pau 5*.

A lot has happened over the last few months from Burghley to Blenheim with the big boys, national events such as Moreton Morrell and the 5yo Championships at Osberton.

With my Burghley 5* debut not going quite as planned for Undalgo De Windsor, despite feeling epic up until the point of my small dismount, we quickly rerouted him to Blenheim and took up my double entry for the 4*L. This meaning Beau got to join his best buddy Trendy Captain Clover in the same class.

A fantastic week at my local event. It was great having so many friends and family there to support us over the 4 days.

Undalgo De Windsor pulled off his PB test at 4* and we managed to have a 15 point improvement from his Burghley outing.

Trendy Captain Clover always tries his hardest on the flat

and did his best test to date. Some lovely work and so exciting for next year when he will be even stronger in this phase.

XC day saw plenty of action, thrills and spills around the David Evans designed and built track. Both of my boys felt brilliant and jumped super clears. The XC time being particularly influential. Trendy Captain Clover galloped and jumped within a rhythm and certainly felt like he was going plenty quick enough for his debut 4*L but adding a few time to his dressage. Undalgo De Windsor fresh off the back of Burghley fitness was full of running and didnt give me the easiest ride; jumping clear and making the track feel very easy but harder to maintain a settled rhythm. He was fighting me during set up for combinations and so I had to ride accordingly and allow more time. Regardless he has now notched up an impressive CV of 4* clears.

On to show jumping day and they both came out perky and ready to jump once again. Beau his usual sprightly self in the trot up, and Captain his usual Mr consistent. A tough SJ track, caused it's fair share of problems. Undalgo De Windsor certainly enjoyed the atmosphere jumping a great round with just an unlucky pole. Trendy Captain Clover jumped very well, but a relatively new format for him having SJ after 10mins XC. A couple
